Andrew Dewar

Andrew is a Director and the CEO of Rockwood and has more than 20 years' experience in private equity, corporate finance and transaction advisory. He joined the investment team in 2006 and played a leading role in the formation of Rockwood following the spin-out of Absa Capital Private Equity Fund I in 2013. Prior to Rockwood, Andrew spent 13 years at KPMG, where he was a Partner/Director in Transaction Services. He is a Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) and holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Accounting degree from the University of the Witwatersrand.

Gareth Druce

Gareth is a Director and the CFO of Rockwood and is on the boards of several portfolio companies. He joined Rockwood in 2008 and has extensive experience in portfolio management, valuations, corporate finance and private equity operations. Before joining Rockwood, Gareth held senior roles at KPMG in Johannesburg and London, and previously worked at BHP Billiton in corporate finance, business economics and evaluation. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in London and holds a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Business Economics and Accounting from the University of Southampton.

Naseem Hassan

Naseem is a Senior Executive Portfolio Manager at Rockwood, working closely with its portfolio companies. He also served as CEO of a Rockwood portfolio business, driving its turnaround. He joined in 2016, bringing experience across private equity, corporate finance, valuations, financial modelling, investment analysis and strategic financial decision-making. Previously he worked at BHP Billiton and South32 as an investment and valuation specialist, and in corporate finance at KPMG and Merchantec Capital. He is a Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) with a Postgraduate Bachelor of Commerce Honours from the University of Johannesburg and an MBA from Wits Business School, where he made the Dean's List.
